How do I make a button for my blog?

I have been attempting to teach myself all there is to know about blogging, but some things are so confusing.  I decided to google it... these are my findings

1. Everybody on the face of the earth but me has already figured this out
2. I can read the instructions over and over and still not understand them
3. I thought the Gimp meant something entirely different
4. picnik.com is REALLY fun and easy!
5. Patience is a virtue

And then...at 1:31 AM....I did it!  Check it out, my first button!  Yay!
